GJ WIN, SPECIAL OLYMPICS, HOMECOMING

Another amazing week of watching our women achieve some awesome feats!

Great win and atmosphere on Thursday for Homecoming! What a great event on Saturday with the Special Olympics - we laid the foundation for a future for volleyball in Mesa County with the Special Olympics to compete at the state level.

We continue to challenge our students to take a proactive role with their educational pursuits. Our teachers are hungry for students who are engaged and want to be their best. We see examples weekly of our teachers working hard with our students to help them achieve their bests.

APOLOGY
I owe you an apology. On Monday, we decided we would help with the Homecoming carnival. This was last minute and my communication was not the best. I apologize for that. Your daughters were rock stars and thrived. They stepped up and engaged with the students and community there to help create a great event.

SURPRISE AGAIN
JV and Varsity will be playing Caprock on Thursday at Caprock at 5:00 and 6:00 pm. We would like for the teams to be there at 4:00 pm.

WEEK OF 9/25
Setup starts daily as soon as school is over. The goal would be to have all three courts setup, your journal, and position preparation complete by 3:50 pm.

Responsibilities for the week:
Freshmen with Logan providing leadership: Floors - We will plan to wash the towels on Friday this week.
Juniors with Rhyan and Tiyala providing leadership: Training aids and Nets - scoreboard, cones, speaker, boxes, pool noodles, and other items as they are added this week.
Update - Putting things away after practice is a concern. Please make sure we have a plan for this week.

FUNDRAISING
First fundraising event - October 7th. Since we will have all the girls helping all day, we have decided to run a concession stand with hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. If I could get a couple of organizers for this, that would be awesome! The girls will run the concession stand. We will need help getting food and things setup. Please let me know if you are interested.

We should have our outreach fundraising start the first week of October.

TEACHER APPRECIATION
We plan to honor our favorite teachers on October 10th versus Montrose. The plan is to invite them with letters hand delivered by our students to the teachers. We will work to make sure we recognize our tremendous faculty for all they do to support our personal, academic, and athletic goals.

SENIOR NIGHT
We will have senior night festivities on October 13th versus Steamboat. More information to come.
